It has gotten much faster for me, especially with navigating the site, and also faster for posting as well.

It took about 3-5 seconds after hitting the post button for it to post it. A definite improvement for me.

Try deleting your cookies again and deleting your internet temp files then reboot your router and modem. Then reboot your computer.

OK - I just posted a new thread in the At the movies forum - took about 15 seconds to take which is a great improvement over what I was experiencing previously.

Lee what brand router do you have? When was the last time you unplugged your router for 30 seconds and then plugged it back in with a hard reboot?

I have found that I have to do it every couple of weeks to keep things moving fast. Ditto for my cable modem on a monthly basis. I understand it is happening mostly with this site, but most broadband providers have 2 trunk lines to the internet and they split the load up between them. Maybe one of them is not as fast and that is the one going to the servers on this site.

Funny you should mention this.

3 days ago I brought my modem back to Comcast and demanded another one due to numerous problems i was experiencing with my internet service dropping out frequently.

That is what the tech on the phone told me to do. So guess what happened?

Nothing! So I am unplugging my modem and router (net gear) at least 3X a day to get my internet connection back up and running.

But here's the thing . . .

I have zero issues posting threads at HDD or AVS. Only here at HDF. But I have other issues at those sites that I don't have here.

Go figure.

It definitely sounds like an issue with your internet connection. Things are very fast here for me now. It could be the trunk connection I mentioned earlier that is brings you to this site compared to the others possibly.
