Panasonic and Toshiba are making exceptional LCD TV's these days. I would recommend you look at them.

Why not plasma?

Why must you have a USB input on the TV. I understand it's kind of useful but you can get this feature on your BluRay player, an external unit that can be replaced with various levels of support, from .jpg to .divx.

I recommend samsung ln46b550. Films and games mostly are shot/produced at 24-30 frames/sec...since this set has twice the sampling 60hz you should expect a pretty smooth frame rate and should not have any motion lag. 120hz samples at 4 times and will make it look even smoother.

Hope it helps..

How about the Samsung LE46A686M. Really well reviewed! You can get it for about $1,500 in the UK. No doubt even cheaper, and hopefully within your budget in the USA.

I too am a heavy gamer and have never had a burn in problem with my Panasonic plasma. In fact plasma is much better for games because there is no lag time.

I game with my Panasonic plasma all the time and my kids do also. We have zero burn-in with it after over a year of doing this.

They are spam bots copying someone else's text to try to avoid detection, but it isn't working.

Please do not respond to them and just report them in the future. When you respond and they have tracking images i have to edit your reply to them also which is more work.

if buying online check with Crutchfield.com

P.S. I noticed the 550 has 6 ms response time, pretty slow by todays standards....plasma response time 0.001 ms
