Arrow Buying a New Gaming TV advice

hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a new HDTV. I would like some advice. I read the stickies, they helped a little.

1. How far away will you be from the display when watching it?

10 Ft

2. What TV will it be replacing (i.e. 27" tube TV, etc)

32" tube tv

3. What will you be watching on it (i.e. 1/3 movies, 1/3 TV shows, 1/6 Sports, 1/6 gaming console, etc)

It's only for gaming. So 100% gaming.

4. Will a computer be connected to use the display as a monitor? If so, what percent of the time?

Doesn't really matter.

5. Will you be getting a Blu-ray player to watch movies and will you be getting any HD service from cable/sat, or will you just be watching SD programming, and upscaling SD DVD player?

Like I said, Its only for gaming

6. Are you looking for the best in class display, the best bargain display, or best bang for the buck in the middle display?

Well, I want something that will have the least amount of lag or no lag on games. It will be used for long gaming sessions ex. playing COD games etc. Mostly Shooters.

7. What is the room lighting situation? (i.e. can you control the lighting? Can you use light blocking blinds, etc to control it?)

I can control the lighting, but it can still be a problem.

8. What is your budget range?

$1100

9. What Size?
37"-47" in

I don't buy stuff online. I have the following stores around me:

BestBuy
Target
PC Richard
RadioShack

Thumbs up Gaming

No doubt. A Panasonic plasma. No lag or motion blur. You can find several models within your budget right now at Best Buy. Go check them out. You won't be sorry !!

Like I said Lighting could be an issue, so that won't bee good.

But here are few Panasonic Plasmas I have been looking at:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218066284214

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218065493446

Which would be a better choice out of those two?

Also what LCD would you guys suggest, If I decide to get and LCD instead a Plasma.

Plasma's tend to have less to non-existent input lag than LCD's. Doesn't matter what LCD you get, it will always have some amount of input lag. Especially the 120/240hz LCD's.

Look for the Panasonic P42S1 over the U1 series that I believe does not have the anti-glare coating like the S1 series has.

I have the last year model (50pz80u) of the S series and we play Cod4 & 5 all the time on it and it helped having a plasma over the LCD for shooters like this. We did better with the plasma.

Damn that thing is $1400.

I can't find the 42'' on bestbuy website. I guess I will have to call them up.

EDIT: They don't have it. I can't go over $1100

I guess, I can't get the S1 or G10. Are there any other good ones for $1100 or below? It can be a LCD, if it doesn't lag.
