Default Controlling Multiple TV's (of the same brand) Independently

Hello All,

I have just bought 2 Samsung LCD's TV and am looking for a solution to an unanticipated problem. I plan to mount the units side by side but with the intention of controlling them independently.

The problem of course is, how do I accomplish this? Since the TV's are the same make and model, they are addressed (coded) the same. Meaning if I change the channel on 1 TV it will similarly change on the other.

The only solution I can think of is to go with with RF/IR remote like the Harmony 890 and control 1 TV with RF and the other with IR.

I was hoping someone out there had a more elegant and cheaper solution.

Thanks,

Mike

I know Panasonic models usually allow such thing by assigning a different code for each, but not sure about Samsung. i suspect it will but you will have to look through the advanced sections of the setup menus to find it most likely.

Good luck & welcome to the forum!
