I'm not a highly respected industry expert, or video/audiophile, however I predict Panasonic will win.

One of these years I am going to make this trip out to see this and finally meet you in person, but unfortunately I cannot this year do to work loads. I will have to resign myself to just watch the online video AGAIN.

Thanks for posting this Robert. I always look forward to watching this and getting the results.

I suspect that the Pioneer KURO will take the title again, but I suspect it will be closer this year.

We have most of the new flagship HDTVs in the shoot-out mounted on our video wall and they look absolutely gorgeous. Eight of the finest works from Sony, Pioneer, Samsung, LG, Panasonic and Toshiba make an impressive display.

Our team of calibrators are working very hard to make these panels the very best they can be. In the theater demo room JVC's HD750 is facing off against Epson's 7500 and Dark Night never looked so good.

I was just tipped off as to some of the details of the surprise announcement that will be disclosed this Saturday. Things are heating up and the advancements in these panels and the calibration science have leap froged this year like a "Bull Frog on Steroids" TM

Saturday, June 27, 2009 is a very big day for our industry.

So can you tell us who cannot go what the surprise announcement will be?

Maybe in a PM?

Sorry I can't. In fact, I found out myself by being in a meeting that I was not cleared for. Just 4 more days till the event.

I figured that and was only (mostly ) joking.

I am sure the event will be a great success and i wish I could be there, but someday I am going to make the drive for one of these if for no other reason but to meet you in person finally.

We still have a few seats available for Saturday and Sunday. All High Def Forum members are welcome, however you must reserve a seat.

Al those not attending in person can view the webcast live and ask questions to our panel of experts.

Don't miss tonight's HD shoot-out event. We have a new broadband camera webcast that will be far better than last night's. Go to www.livestream.com/hdtvshootout at 7 PM sharp.

Enjoy!
