3725

This is the one I got. It seems to be really built tough. I started to go with the single arm articulated 4926 but the weight rating and 2 arms versus 1 led me to the 3725.

I'll try to get pics to show my progress tomorrow. My wife will be helping and I think she will enjoy taking pictures to document the change.

Nick

I have been painting my 2"x12" this morning. Was going to paint it black as the mount is black but my shelving and interior of entertainment center/closet is white, so I went white.

You will find yourself sitting closer to an HDTV than you would a SDTV, the higher the resolution the smaller things in the picture get. I just ordered a 52" Samsung LCD HDTV and will be sitting 9' feet from the set, the recommended distance is 8.2 feet when watching a 1080P source.

Finally, success!

The morning got off to a slow start,

but it finally got into gear.

The picture looks as if it is unlevel but it is not. When looking straight ahead it looks just fine.

Center of screen is about 70". That is where the wife and I agreed upon. In several places I saw 48" as being optimum. It was just too low for us.

The mount, 3725 , is rock solid. I just hope my mounting is near as solid as their product.

A quick update:
I'm still loving my TV. The Panasonic TC-P42X1 is a great option for the budget minded/newly switched. Also the mount(3725) from monoprice.com comes in handy when having to do any work behind the TV.
My dear wife is now wondering if we can afford to spring for a TV for the bedroom to replace the Sony that was originally in the living room.

Nice. Now you just have to move those cables so they are on the side out of view.

Yeah wives are like that. They fight the new bigger HDTV until they get it and then are glad and what them all that way.

You're right those cables are/were ugly.

We sort of rearranged them along with a cable declutterer thingy that the wife found on closeout. You feed all of your cables together through a white sheath/housing and then route them more manageably where you want them to go. It helped quite a bit.

If you get a chance look at the other post I started about the LG plasma 50PQ30. I was wondering if that would be comparable to what I have with the Panasonic. If so $699 would be a decent price.

Thanks.
