thanks for the review!
I don't really see 720p as a downside for the given screen size. If someone was to use one a lot as a computer monitor and sit fairly close, I can see where 1080p might be better. In that case, the Vizio can save you a bundle over the more popular brands.
yeah true...
vizio can save you a bundle and you do not have to compromise on quality....

Yeah, the Vizio is a great tv too - I just had a different parameter to search for since the application was a boat.

Heading down there in a an hour or two to start pulling the old tv out and disassembling the cabinet so i can reconfigure it for the new Sammy LCD. Guess I'll have some fun taking the DTV box out of the circuit now that this tv has a tuner too!! yippee!!!

Fun projects...

Samsung and Sony's bottom of the line IMHO aren't as good as some the similiar priced Vizio and Toshiba's but there top of the line are fantastic but you in most cases would be more expensive and in my opinon the PQ doesn't make up for the price difference.
What are the low end models within regards to Sony?

Whatever is selling for similar prices to other popular brands.
Sonystyle.com website has msrp for all models just like Panansonic, Samsung, Vizio, and all the rest do on their websites.

I think the L series are Sony's low end or entry level sets.
