Hmm, do you do any gaming on that RCA? Does it handle motion pretty well? I'm going to have to take a closer look at that set. Even though I've had some bad luck with RCA TVs in the past. The price is tempting.

Yes, I've hooked it up to my computer, Runs games great. I also use my PS3 on this TV. and again no complains there. I've owned a few RCA's in the past good TV's imo. but everyone has a different story.

Just a heads-up for anyone interested in the VO32OE. Walmart has it listed for $398 now. I still haven't gotten to look at one in person yet. All my Walmarts still have the VW32 on display even though the shelf tag has been changed to the model number and specs for the VO32OE.

I am pretty much settling in on a Vizio. Time to give another American co. some of my money for a change. (Oppo being the other one).
Plus, it's very good value. If I could see a big difference in performance, that might change my mind, but I don't see much difference in the 32" displays.

Went and bought the VO320E today from Walmart for $398, after a head-banging session with DELL where I had placed an order last week.

I had a lot of problems placing the order with DELL (horrible online service, even worse sales service), when it shipped, UPS sent it back to them because there was no label. Since it was returned, it will go back to Vizio as a returned item (to be classified as refurbished). Talked to DELL customer service (no help there!), they said they can't re-ship "that" TV, so they will cancel the order. If I still wanted the TV, I will have to re-order (but they were out of stock!). Stay away from DELL even if they are cheaper, it's not worth the hassle.

So I finally said to hell with it and went to Walmart and picked-up the TV. So far, I like it; colors look good, picture looks good, audio sounds great.

Well, I bought the Vizio VO32L yesterday afternoon at BJs. It will be used on a boat - we have Comcast Cable at the dock and I have an Antenna that gets about 28 OTA channels most places (sometimes more).

I tweaked the settings quite a bit and only hooked it up to our cable (not through the box) so I could get a good feel for the picture. Digital HD was fantastic as expected but about 30% of the SD channels just looked bleh at best.

Wifey is at BJs now bringing home the Samsung LN32B540. It is a few bucks more and only 720 - but figured I'd check it out for side by side compare of SD.

The Toshiba and Hitachi were high on the list as well, but this Samsung looked really good on HD DVD content yesterday when I was there....so we'll see.

At this size they all are pretty comparable - for me the SD quality is the key... I'll post back later after my side by side compare of the two units.

I'm this /)(\ close to saying the hell with it and getting the VO32OE sight unseen. I'm getting tired of waiting on Walmart to put one up so I can look at it and my current clunker of a set is pissing me off. I've seen the 37" model and it looks good, but it's 1080p compared to 720p on the 32" so I would expect it to look nice. I'm glad to read you're happy with the audio as I was worried it might not be so good.

That seems like a fine set too. For the longest time I was on the verge of getting one.

Well, verdict is in for me - ran the Samsung 540 and vavoom! Much clearer SD content, equal hd content for this size screen. Glad i bought both. Just packed up the Vizio vo32l and it is going back in a few hours. The sammy is 720 vs the vizio 1080 but just processed the content better - sons, wife and I all agreed after minimal tweaking on both tv's.

BTW the sammy also allowed for easier remote access to menus, screen size control, etc.... All and all, both are great tv's, but i'd give the sammy a pretty good score over the vizio for standard cable viewing (sd). Oh...and the speakers were much better on the sammy even though i'll be running the surround sound, was nice to know they put out a better quality sound as well.

The 540 is one of my choices. I really like the Panasonic too. I will have to check out the SD performance closer against all of them.
thanks for the review!
I don't really see 720p as a downside for the given screen size. If someone was to use one a lot as a computer monitor and sit fairly close, I can see where 1080p might be better. In that case, the Vizio can save you a bundle over the more popular brands.
