I've read the same complaints about the VW model. I plan to go ahead and get the protection plan when I buy a set. I think it's $30 for two years. I usually don't bother with an extended warranty but it might be a good idea in this case. Another thing about the VW I'm not crazy about is it's lack of audio outputs and a headphone jack. I don't see anything listed in the Eco specs about audio outputs or a headphone jack either. Still want to get a look at it.

I was leaning towards the VOJ32, but I'm not sure I want to spend the extra money. Vizio is also supposed to release a new 32" 1080p model with 120hz soon. It's listed at $599 in their press release so I imagine it'll retail around the same price as the other 1080p set.

Haven't seen the new press-release. Is the new 120Hz model replacing the VO32LF?

They announced the models at CES in January. I don't know if they plan to replace the VO line with the new VL line or not. I think they're supposed to go on sale at Target and Costco (maybe it's an exclusive line for those stores?). I read on another forum someone claimed they'll be out on May 19. Here's the specs on the two new sets...

Went to check-out the Vizio Eco 32 @ Walmart; they had a couple in stock but none on display. They guys in the electronics department had no idea it was different from the VW or the VO series; and they didn't know when it would be put on display

Will go back again in a few days to see if it's up on the wall. I want to check the picture before I buy it since I haven't seen any reviews in the Eco line yet.

I'm going today to see if they've got the Eco 32 on display yet. I'm not holding out much hope it'll be on the wall yet. Walmart seems slooow about putting new models on display. I really want to check it out. I'm hoping this model is "the one" I've been looking for.

Wow! Lots of good deals.. I guess as more folks grab onto HDTV previous converts are looking for smaller sets as well.

Finally got to see the new VO320E at the local Walmart. The picture quality looks very good. Off-angle viewing also seemed to be better on this TV than the other brands around it.

It had 3 pluses and 1 minus for me:
+ Supports PAL video on Composite and HDMI inputs
+ Supports 110-240 Vac
+ Supports 50/60 Hz
- I wish it were 1080p

Walmart has the TV for $427; DELL has the same model for $429, however, there are online coupons available (10-15% off) when buying from DELL. Both stores apply a tax so DELL ends up being cheaper with the coupon.

Hmmm how much cheaper from Dell? If it's a really good savings then do the Dell option. but if it's not earth shattering then I would do Walmart, 1. Anything goes wrong and need to exchange it for another set, + 90 day return policy. and it's much easier to do than having to scheduled a UPS or mail it or whatever you would have to do with Dell. 2. Walmart offers a fantastic ext. warranty for a very reasonable price.

It seems I was misinformed about the Vizio VL32 and VL37 models. They're now up on Vizio's website and there's no mention of 120hz in the specs for either model.

I'm still waiting for my Walmart to put a VO32OE on display. Right now I'm leaning towards getting that one for the bedroom. I would like to have 1080p, but I figure at that size and price it's not a huge deal. I'll just save up for a bigger set with 1080p for the living room.
