Default Vizio VO47L FHDTV - buzzing in the back

I've recently noticed that after I keep my Vizio TV on for an extended period of time, an obnoxious buzz develops from the back of the TV. It's very quiet when it's on, but then after hours of being on, this buzz begins. I tried to isolate the source, and it seems to be the backlight (as soon as the backlight turns on, the buzz begins). I took the power plug out as well as all of the inputs, but the buzz continues.

I called up the tech support and they wanted to have two cards replaced, but one of the cards that they brought was defective (my luck), so they only replaced one of them (the card associated with the power, I think). After trying my TV out yesterday and keeping it on for awhile, the buzz of course began again. I'm just wondering, is this normal for a buzz to develop after it's been on for awhile, or is this definitely an issue? Thanks.

Sounds like a wonky starter circuit on a fluorescent tube. I would predict the backlight won;t last very much longer.

The buzz is IMPOSSIBLE if "you took the power plug out." Without electricity a TV can do NOTHING. Did you mean something different?

See if you can get at the bulb; perhaps the starter is built in and a replacement bulb will do the trick.

Yeah, I mean that I took the power plug out, then plugged it back in, and the buzzing continued. Again, it only starts buzzing after the TV has been on for hours.

Is there any way, in SETUP perhaps, to turn the backlight OFF? That would give you a big clue about what's going on.

(Another thought is that any defective transformer/power supply can make an annoying hum/buzz.)
