sony xbr vertical line

I sometimes have a vertical line on my sony lcd. it comes when I first turn a channel on then goes away. I put on a solid high def background it was there for 2 secs went away and did not come back. It looks like a line of pixels out. Any ideas?

What part of the image is it showing up at?

For instance; top, bottom, left, right, middle vertical, middle hortizontial.

left vertical top to almost bottom.

only have seen it on hd channels.

its a red dotted line that is coming and going. any help?

Hi Tim ,im new on here from the UK , i dont know if this will be of any use , i own a Sony bravia kdl40x3000 and about 6 months ago a red line appeared on it, my line was solid and horizontal and 2 inches from the top off the panel, it ran the full width of the panel i could see it on all sources , Playstation3 ,SD, and HD.

This looked as if someone used a ruler and ballpoint pen to draw . The nice Sony man said it was a transistor or panel fault and replaced it .

Yours seems a bit all over the place , but if you see it on all sources i would say you have a fautly panel
