Default Car or Kuro Elite?

I was wondering if it would be a smarter choice to buy a used car for the same price. I mean is the Kuro really that good at home? I've only seen it in bestbuy and the lightning and placement was not that good so I don't see the big deal on this kuro or amazed by its picture quality as people have said in these forums.

does the kuro actually have all that "WOW" and "ahh" factors making it worth the $3500+ ? Or does it cost that much because of its new technology?

If you need to have a car clearly that should come first, but if not...well all I can say is I picked my Pioneer over a car and I'm happy every time I come home. Its just so damn nice. Because with all the waiting to get my wheels I actually found a better place to get my car from and I'm saving up for one now.

Are you talking about Pioneer Kuro or Kuro Elite? Didn't know they displayed Elite at Best Buy.

To answer your question. I have the Elite 151 and would have biked it if I needed to. Yes the WOW factor is definitely there. I was going for XBR8 but glad as hell I chose the Elite.

Elite is like a Lexus compared to a Toyota
better parts and performance

and take the bus. The money you save on gas and insurance in one year will get you a pretty nice home theatre

Well a little different than Lexus and Toyota.
Lexus is a subsidiary of Toyota, meaning Lexus is owned and contolled by Toyota.

I think Elite is a line of products made by Pioneer

Check out www.pioneerelectronics.com
There is a find a store link to show you where you can find them

Actually, I think the Lexus/Toyota analogy to Pioneer Kuro/Pioneer Elite Kuro IS a spot on analogy. Especially since Elite IS the high end line for Pioneer and Lexus is the high end line for Toyota.

To the topic of the thread though I think it is silly to be comparing whether to buy a car or a Pioneer Elite Kuro, unless the car is perfectly functioning already and is already dependable and you are just looking for a change. Obviously a car for most areas of the USA (besides cities with good public transportation) is pretty much a necessity to earn a living, etc., compared to a high end display that is for when you are not working.

Well my question is more into the lines of is it really worth having a Plasma TV display that you would spend the money you've been working for a couple of months on that TV instead of the car. Meaning do you really get what you pay for that Kuro Elite?
