Samsung PN42A450 redness issues
I bought this Samsung 42 plasma in May and there is a red hue that appears on top of the black. This redness has gradually gotten worse over the past 2 months and it is really starting to affect my tv watching. The brightness of certain scenes will cover up the redness but whenever I watch something with a black background, this redness will appear over the black, not covering the image, but giving it a red hue. What is this and should my warranty cover it?

try going into your customized color temperature controls and try reducing the Red and see if that helps.

i and others had this problem too. i called samsung and they said it was covered under the 1 year warranty and they had someone come out and replace the panel. hope it doesn't occur again
