What is HD?

I have had my Sharp Aquos LC-46SE94U for a week now. The TV is great, with super contrast and great color. But occasionally I have noticed that the screen goes black for a second or two, maybe once an hour or so. It's slightly aggrevating, but it doesn't ever do it for more than a second or two. The power light stays on, so it's not coming from the power source. My ignorance of electronics of any kind is staggering, so I'm looking for advice on how to check this out. Do you think it's a TV problem, or could it be a problem with my HD hookup (Time Warner)? Not knowing which it is, I don't know where to start. I bought the TV from Abe's of Maine on the net, and they were giving away a free wall mount that I didn't need, so I traded it for a three year in-home repair contract. I never buy repair contracts, but I got this one for less than a third of its retail price, so I was willing to go for it. Now I think I'm glad I did. Any suggestions on where to start?

Call them and let them know what is happening. They will set up a service call. If it is the TV I would ask for a replacement.
