Default 32'' Emerson LCD HDTV Question

Just picked up Emerson 32" LCD HDTV with Digital Tuner, LC320EM8 on Black Friday from Wal-Mart for $388 and I've got some questions. This is my first time owning/viewing a hi-def TV. Going by the sticky I'm sitting about 10 feet away from it, it's replacing a 32'' tube tv, and I'll be using it to watch dvds, play my xbox 360, and normal tv. Now, my question is, when I set up my xbox 360 to use it (in settings, set it to 720p and changed the component cables from tv to hdtv) I noticed a pretty odd...motion blur is the best way I can describe it. When walking my player there was nothing, it was fine, however when I ran with him it was almost as if the game chose to focus on my singular player and unfocus everything else. I also use normal coaxial cable and not digital, and I've noticed on the ESPN sports ticker that scrolls scores/information, when it's sitting stationary it's perfect, however when it scrolls it from side to side, it also blurs the text pretty bad. I read up a bit before posting and read about HDTV blur and such, but this is a brand new TV. Is this a defect or is it something I'll eventually get used to since I've never had any experience with lcd hdtvs? Thanks a lot.

Plugged in the wii and noticed the motion blur as well, far worse horizontally than vertically

What is the response time? 20ms? 15ms? There is a reason it's cheap. You can get better brands, even Sony for as low as $499

I own the 37" version was made in 2006 but still the technology is the same except you have Clear Pixel Plus as I just have the Clear Pixel engine is another chipset made in Germany for Funai. Still without it the set won't perform as well as it does.

Use these settings is what I use right now.. for HDMI- CableTV HD, Component for DVD/DivX, S-Video for Media MVP. I did use the RF with coax was great! Now and then I hook-up Playstation and play Teck-in

Mode: Movie
Brightness: 45
Contrast: 59
Color: 25
Tint: 0
Sharp: 5
Color Temp: Warm
Energy Saver: -1

Let me know how you make out...

That actually helped quite a bit, but it's still rather blurry. Not unreadable by any means, but still blurry as hell on the ESPN sports ticker. Thanks for the settings a lot, any clue what to tweak to get it really dialed in?

Edit: After keeping it on and watching the sports ticker, it's probably 50% better blur-wise. Playing my xbox 360 the blur was almost nonexistant, the only complaint I have, is the lighter colors (whites, yellows) seem to be really bright now with these settings.
