Default Stuck Pixel on LCD Screen

Hi Everybody,

I am well aware of the stuck pixels being common on LCD displays, is there a way to reactivate stuck pixels? Reason that its a stuck pixel rather than black pixel is it has color to it.

I only have one stuck pixel that is not noticiable at 8 to 10 feet only when you get real close. Also, do you think if the set is calibarted by ISF (best buy) will help?

I have never, not once, seem a stuck pixel become a normal working one. That said, I have heard of two remedies:

stuck pixel fixer video: there are tons of these available to download. It's a video of rapidly flashing colors, that you are supposed to leave on for hours. Never seen it work though.

massage the pixel: This I have heard work a few times. You gently massage the area over and around the stuck pixel. I can't remember the reason this works. What comes to mind is that if there is some loose connection or something, or if one or more of the 3 sub pixels is out of place somewhat, the massaging sets it back. But my memory is really fuzzy on this.

I can say that my laptop from 2000 has a single stuck pixel. It's always red, and on the very top row, about 1/4 from the right edge of the screen (roughly 200 pixels from the edge). Neither of these two methods have worked. It's been like that since the day I bought it, but since it is in such an inconspicuous spot, I never worried about it.

I think the 850 series has a glass screen so rubbing the pixel wouldn't work.

I too have never heard of dead pixels comming to life. Mine has one stuck red pixel but it's near the lower left corner so I never notice it anyway.
