Display / image problem - Samsung HDTV

Hello,

I have a strange problem with my Samsung LCD TV (LA32S71BX). I have had it for about 18 months so i think it's out of warranty. Anyway, it was working fine, then all of a sudden the display just went, now all the colour and everything has gone really bad! Even the icons themselves have lost all their colour / resolution. Can someone tell me what the problem is and if it is easy / cheap to fix. Thanks. (I've enclosed some pics to help show what i mean.)

i had a similar problem where the black areas would turn a reddish and speckle through out the rest of the screen. i did purchase the best buy warranty and the first thing they did was replace the panel and that did not work but then they came back and replaced the main board and that fixed the problem.i have a 32 in samsung lns3251dx/xaa and the tech did say that the replacement parts prices have dropped like a rock that is why it was cheaper for them to fix rather then replace.but best buy warranty work did take forever it started in early July and was final fixed on Oct 9th.
WAY TO LONG!!!!!
