Exclamation Is there still hope for my cracked screen LCD TV?

Hello, I need to know if my LCD screen can be repaired from the accidental damage I had provided to it. You see, what happened was I was playing Madden and I got really pissed off, I took my troller and hit it against the chair(not too hard) and the damn 360 controller battery packed broke in two and the spring slung the battery right into my tv, or at least I assume it did. It was so random and fast, that I was really suprised of how much damage the controller did by hitting it against my chair.

So I desperatly need your expert advise, because I spent good amount of money on this 37" LCD Visio for a High School kid and yes its out of warranty.

Let me show you the pics:

Note: Most of these Pics are in stand by mode, meaning that they do not receive any signal from the TV cable, it supposed to be all blue screen with perhaps some white letters, if you want me to show you pics with the TV receiving the cable signals let me know and I will find it

Turned off

Stand By Mode

Stand By (Closer to Crack)

Sorry to say, but your screen looks like it is toast. You could call to ask how much a new LCD glass panel costs, but it would likely cost as much as a replacement display at this point since it is already past the warranty period, so I assume it is at least 1 year old.

Good luck!

A new set, and anger management training would be the best course of action for you.

I guess I will have to wait for the Black Friday and get a new one, its a shame how fragile these bastards can be and I have learned a very expansive lesson, it won't happen again.

I do not tottaly blame my anger management issue on this problem, I also blame the controller and Madden 09 for its bs lol. I controlled my anger a little, other wise I would have thrown it into the floor, or even the TV if I was really really pissed(probably not). I didn't expect the battery fly that far to my TV at all, thats why I was shocked when I saw that.

Consider it a lesson learned at this point. It is always best to just try to control your anger so these types of things don't happen. Move beyond denial since you are blaming equipment for not standing up to being slammed/thrown around.

I wish you luck!

Thanks, I was a trying to conrol my aggressive actions and I did better than I did before, but then it just imploded just because of one game and I picked a chair to hit it against, I though it was safer than than throwing it against the carpet, but I guess I was wrong, but I guess its time for a better adjustment, and stay away from Madden, that game just doesn't fit my style...

You can try the TV clubs they offer flex-pay you can pay now 1/2 on 37" unless they do a tv spot you can go lower by 4 flex-payments. Sometimes shipping is free. This would be an option.

I might concider that, although it has to be conciderably less, because the Black Friday is coming soon and I have an advantage of getting the TV of the display...
