32 inch Sceptre 1080p vs 32 Toshiba Regza 720p

The title says it all. I am looking at buying a TV for my 10x10 man room. I have the Direct TV hd box up here and plan on getting a Xbox 360 in the near future with and HDMI output. At times I will be sitting within about 5 feet of the TV. Taking all of this into account which TV would be better. I like the idea of having 1080p as I will be prepared for the future and the fact that its from Costco with the additional two year warranty, but I have heard good things about the Regza and am wondering if 1080p is even necessary. I am also not trying to spend over $600.

Since I can't put links, the Toshiba Regza 32 inch 720p is on Compusa's website for $499.00 and the Sceptre 32 inch 1080p is at costco's website for $599.00

My only Sceptre experience is with their monitors, which were trash returned twice over dead pixels then gave up and got something else when the 3rd one had problems. If your not planning to use the TV as a monitor 720p is fine for a 32".

My experience with Toshiba has been pretty good, I have 42" and 32" Regza's, I paid $759 w/ free shipping from newegg for the 32" 1080p not sure if thats still the current price there.
