Default Dead Pixel - Samsung LE40N87BD

Hi all, this is my first post in this forum and I would like to have your ideas regarding my dead pixel problem appeared on my Samsung LE40N87BD screen. When the guys came and set my LCD up, they made the screen blue and checked for the dead pixels. They did see nothing and confirmed it as working good. After some time passed, two or three days, I saw 2 small sized lights appeared in various times on the top of the screen of the LCD. Then I downloaded an application called "Dead Pixel Buddy" which is a program helping to see the pixel failures and connect my PC to my LCD. I made the sceen in red, green, blue, white and black. When it was green I saw, with a carefull look, 2 black pixels. Immediately called the service and return the TV. The new one will arrive today.

Do you think that I did the right thing to return the LCD because of just 2 dead pixels? Is it normal to have 2 or 3? The guy told me that there is not a guarantee that the new one will not have any dead pixels. I have returned the one which have 2 dead pixels and if the new one will have 3 or 4, I will probably feel lilke a fool. Please tell me if it is normal to have 2 or 3 dead pixels or should it be definately with no dead pixels.

Sorry for my novel like post but I wanted it to be clear. Thank you all

The manufacturers have a disclaimer somewhere in their owners manuals about an acceptable number of dead/stuck pixels. So technically, they can refuse returns on that basis.

My opinion is that if you can't see the bad pixels in normal viewing, don't worry about them. Don't go searching for them with a magnifying glass at 6" from the screen.

The new one will probably be fine. Relax and enjoy the tv.
