Default 32" Sharp Aquos at Costco..................?

I have a $100 off coupon from Costco for their 32" Sharp Aquos.

I believe it's the same one as this, but w/ a silver stand instead of black.

My question is what is the original price for this 32" LCD ?

I can't find it on their website & haven't had any time to go into an actual Costco to see the price.

I do know that they offer a 90 day return policy & a 2 year warranty on it. ( 1 year manufactures & an additional 1 year from Costco).

Am seriously thinking about getting it if I could get it for maybe less than $700 w/ taxes included.

How about a model number so someone can answer correctly.

hard to believe that about less than 2 years ago (around there) I paid $1500 for a 32" Aquos 720p, open box! it's now handling bedroom duty. no HD signal either.

If you're looking at the same advert I have it states:

"TV design and model numbers may vary by location."

This is for the "Fill your Wallet with..." coupon book and the offer is for the time frame March 17 thru March 23, 2008. Costco Item # 190032, 320032.

So you will probably have to spend the time to look at what they have in your store and then do your checking; or check all the models of 32" Aquos made before going to the store, and then see which model closely matches the one they have at your local store.

@ Wiley

Yeah that's the coupon I'm speaking of.

I believe the model# is LC-C3242U.

I called costco yesterday & the guy on the phone said that he cannot give price over the phone.

The earliest I will be able to get to a costco is sometime at the end of next week.

I figured the model # because there's a guy on cr**glist, here in the bay area that is selling the same TV for $ 599. He emailed me and told me that he sells them as open box costco returns. He only offers a 90 day warranty on them though.

Costco offers a 2 warranty at no extra cost.

Should I just wait for the costco sale & spend the extra $ 100 ?????

Frankly, I'm puzzled that 720p, 32" sets aren't at or below the $500 price point.

A co-worker of mine was just at costco & called me up.

He told me it's $749.......

So w/ the $100 coupon, it'll be $650. With tax here in CA. will be about $700.

You can't find anything somewhat descent for that price.

Cheapest thing that's descent for close to that price is

The Westinghouse SK-32H520S or the SK-32H240S , which sells at Wal-Mart for $558.

The SK-32H520S could be found for about $575, but VERY HARD to find.

So, when I "bought on impulse" about 1 year ago my 32" Scott/Akai at Radio Shack for $550, I guess I was lucky.
The set is excellent, works great and great picture.
Just surprising that 32" sets have held the price point so well while larger screen formats have come down so much.

Not sure if anyone is aware of this but some bestbuys are clearing out the westinghouse SK-32H520S between $300-$450.

I went to my local bb and they had 1 open box for $399. Might grab it for another bedroom. I asked them to check stock for other stores and saw some for under $300.
