RS-232 port, 18 month warranty, PIP, and gloss black bezel.

For most people, not worth the extra money. It's the same panel and same internals.

Don't buy the xbr3. It is 1.5 month old technology. They came out in Aug. 2006. The xbr4+5s came out in Aug. 2007. I have a 40"xbr4 and it is a great tv with an amazing picture. It has PIP and P&P. I use th P&P which is two pictures beside each other. Good picture in HD and SD. You just have to calibrate the factory settings. You can get them off the .
You can wait until Aug. for the new TVs. I got mine in Oct. when the price had dropped about $500 off the original price.

Don't disregard the XBR 3 simply because it is an older model. If you can get a good price, it would be a good value.

The XBR3 is a damn nice set. The pq is every bit as pleasing to the eye as the 4's or 5's is.

With that kind of advice...it's no wonder why no one ever goes in there.

its an xbr 3 i found out, i guess maybe i blew it out of proportion when i said he hates it, he just wants the older version out. He doesnt really like the xbr 3 i guess, hes putting a 52 inch samsung LCD in there and a new 65 inch Panasonic pro plasma
