Samsung or Sharp?

I'll be purchasing a 32" LCD HDTV in the next couple of weeks. After doing some research, I have narrowed it down to the Samsung 32" LCD HDTV - LNT3253H or the Sharp 32" Aquos LCD TV - LC32D43U.
My girlfriend works for a major retailer and gets an employee discount, so I can get the Sharp for $665 or the Samsung for $720. With the price being so close, it doesn't matter to me.....I just want the better TV. I will be using DirecTV HD programming with the DirecTV HD-DVR. Samsung Pros: 8000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (Sharp is 6000:1) PIP (I cannot find anywhere that Sharp has this, so I'm assuming it does not). Sharp Pros: 6 ms response time (Samsung is 8ms) One final bit of info.......I would like to utilize PIP for watching multiple baseball games at once. Does anyone have any experience with doing this with DirecTV? Will I need multiple receivers to do this? Thanks for your help!....if anyone thinks a different 32-incher better than these, I'd be open to checking out other models too! |

i recently purchased the sharp aquos lc32d43u, and i couldnt be happier. Although i dont have any HD programming as of yet. SD viewing is still pretty good. My xbox 360 and ps3 look amazing at 720p as the colors are very nice and smooth with the 6ms response time. Although i can confirm for you that there is no PIP. With plenty of connections and awesome picture for both SD and HD viewing (360/PS3), i surely recommend this TV for you. you wont be disappointed.
