Default Help with New HD-DVD player!

Hi,

I have a Hyundai 32" LCD 720p/1080i and I got it about a year ago for christmas. I was looking on amazon and there are some huge deals on HD-DVD players (for black friday). My LCD doesn't have HDMI but the players do have it and component output. The thing is my TV component inputs are already taken by my HD TiVo Series 2 output (that has HDMI also) and i was wondering is there some kind of convertor to convert HDMI to DVI while still retaining the sound if there isn't could you please refer me to a good input/output switcher for component? Thanks!

DVI does not support audio transmission...only video.

Take a look at this product.

If your display has an HDCP-compliant DVI port, you can use a simple and relatively inexpensive cable to convert HDMI to DVI:

If you already have an HDMI cable, you can use an inexpensive adapter:

You will need to use analog audio cables for the sound to the TV, or you can use an external HT audio system. If your display has a VGA computer port, I believe the analog audio inputs are shared with the DVI port.
