There was an article in the paper today about the diff types of TV's & what you should consider. The bottom line of what the guy said is this - - if you want a set 40" or bigger, but a Plasma for a better pic.

This is the opposite of what I though it was. Now I am confused. Darn.

You will get more TV for your money if you get a plasma and alot of people would argue that a plasma is a better picture. I would say that article is probably a fair assessment. LCD's still struggle a bit with high motion content and its my understanding that it gets worse as they get larger. for the price you will be hard pressed to get an LCD that will match the preformance of a plasma. Most of your better LCD's are much more than the best plasmas. hope it helps

Sony KDL-46VL130

Went to CostCo today & saw this model. Stunning Picture!!
Best pic in the store. $2,000.

Read some stuff on the AV Forum, and some are saying it's the same as the VL2500 & some say VL3000, and they're also saying it's the best pic in the store.

Toooooooooooo many models out there.

If it's the KDL-46VL130 then it's the KDL-46V3000. You have to be careful what you read over at AVS forum, because so many of them are fanboys that will say anything about the products they like. That being said, I do agree with this info. The KDL-46V3000 is one of the best pictures I've ever seen.

In case you were interested I have tested the deinterlacing ability of it and it passed the test, therefore if you do buy it you can feel comfortable buying a 1080i HD DVD player because it will deintelace the 1080p perfectly. I have seen an A2 hooked up to one and it looks amazing.

Sony Model # KDL46S3000 at Sears Fri & Sat - $500 off - $1500

How does this compare to the VL2500 or VL3000 ? From the Bravias I've seen I really like their pics.

the 46s3000 is $1399.99 on black friday and it is 720p not 1080p like the 2500 series from last year. hope that helps.
