I have a 42" plasma and am looking to mount it on the wall. Problem is that I want to have it in a corner and am looking at the cantilever dual arm wall mount.
Does anyone have this type of mount and do you like it? I'm just a but weary of placing a thousand dollar piece of technology on this mount. What type of mount do you use? I'm looking at the below: http://cgi.ebay.com/Cantilever-Dual-...QQcmdZViewItem |

As long as the attachment to the wall in INTO STUDS with suitable lag bolts (or similar), you'll be fine.

Most of the really nice cantelever brackets for plasmas are $500-$600. But, the only thing that looks like it may be difficult is the motion arms. The fact of hanging it on the wall shouldn't be a big deal, just like billinprinceto said...find the studs and use some lag bolts and your good.
If you want the best, I found a good deal at Amazon...unfortunetely it's still way more than what you found your for. http://www.amazon.com/OmniMount-UCL-...1073611&sr=8-1 Last edited by DEVO; 09-29-2007 at 08:48 AM. |

I think that e-bay mount is fine for your 42" plasma-- it is rated to hold a 58" plasma (which is about 140#).
The only critical issue is how YOU attach the mount to the wall. The rear plate is 18" wide-- you should be able to attach it right at an inside corner and still hit the next stud at 16". |

Height is preference. Eye-level or near is best, but it can be slightly higher if you can tilt it.
