well if you figure that extra 200 is getting you a lifetime warranty on that TV, I would get it at Costco. If you get it home, and realize its not what you wanted, Costco won't give you any trouble returning it, and getting your money back.

On some items Costco is a little more, but you end up saving in the long run. I wish they still had the lifetime satisfaction gaurantee on PCs, I miss that.

A LIFETIME warranty???

This is news to me.

If the Maxent I just bought at Costco, gives me trouble ten years from now, Costco will repair/replace/give money back on it???

Am I reading your post right?

Still does anyone know if they pricematch? I know the free warranty
they give you is worth a couple extra grand, but if they pricematch i will bring in the target add. im planning on buying that tv on friday.
what do you guys think. the sharp aquos 37 or the samsung 42 inch lcd. i think both are about the same price, but when i saw the colors and the black level on the aquos i was speechless. It looked as good as the bravia

They basically have a satifaction guarantee if you read through the terms. You can return items if you are not fully satisfied although they recently put a cap on computers and laptops. I think its only like 3-6 months for computers. I had a 37" Vizio start turning itself off randomly only 8 months after I bought it. I showed up to costco with everythign that came with it (no box of course) and the reciept and the offered offered to put it back on my AMEX card or give me store credit. the guy in front of me at the return line had a two year old barbecue that was dirty as F#$K and he had his refund in 5 minutes. I would find it hard to believe that in ten years you will be able to take back your TV but technically there is no fine print that says you can't do it. I figure as long as you can return for 3-5 years thats worth the extra money. Just keep the receipt and everything that came with it. They have a limited selection but for me costco is the only way to buy.

Sorry but I don't see anything about price matching. Usually their models are special only for costco, sams, etc. They may be identical to the one at best buy but they have a different model number. Although sometimes there are some minor differences. My sony tv was almost identical to the models at BB, circuit city. the only difference was the audio decoded which since I use a reciever did not matter to me. The modle number was one digit off and only available at costco. I assume they would match another warehouse style store if you pushed them hard enough but I see no indication that they price match and the fact that the model numbers might be different will make it even harder. I don't work for costco so you might want to make a quick call down there.

I had a computer that my family got there in 1999, we went back in 2003 and they gave us cash back. All I said was that it stopped working. So with the 2000 dollars we paid for 350 MHz computer in 99, we put in another 200 dollars and got a 2.4 GHz Sony Vaio. But they don't do it anymore on comps. YOu got 6months on them. But everything else is up for returns for as long as you can imagine.

Why is it people are always returning dirty ass BBQ grilles to costco?!?! I've seen it so many times!! And also people return half eaten food, and get all their money back.

I just returned a 15 month old DLP to Costco... open box... the PQ was starting to get worse. They asked for the stand that came with it (I had forgotten it at home), so I ran home and got the stand and they gave me store credit in 10 mins with almost no questions asked.
