I have a playstation 3 which has blue ray disc player...Now what I want to know is is there a point of gettin blue ray dvds if my plasma doesnt support 1080p? i mean will it still look better then the regular dvds?or no difference at all?

It may depend on the native resolution of your Panny. If it's a 1024x768 screen...a BD disc may provide only marginal improvements over a standard DVD. Even less so if you purchased one of the EDTV plasma models.
