Normal market time before a price drop on models?! 6months??

Does anyone know or have an idea when the new Sharp Aquos models will come out? according to the 2006 pdf file line up i belive its the D50U's ..correct me if im wrong?

im assuming they will be out by September or at least by this holiday.. if that is the case would it be logical to conclude that the new current models like the D40U's will drop in price by this holiday?!

im assuming they will have a manfacturer price drop, a small one at least like $100-$200 price drop?. i remember last year when the 32DA5U cost $2,199 at futureshop during december and by march it had price dropped -$200 to $1,999. at one point futureshop had a massive sale on the unit -$400 selling it for $1,600!..it was a final clearence so i was assuming it was to make room for the new models.. sadly futureshop still hasnt gotten the D40U's nor do they have any idea when they will get them.. oh well. im just curious about the price drop for the holidays.. whats your prediction???

The D50U is not a replacement for the D40U. The LC-32D50U is due in June. The 2006 line-up is:

LC-45D40U
LC-37D90U
LC-37D40U
LC-37SH20U
LC-32D50U
LC-32D40U
LC-32SH20U

i know the D50U is not a replacment for the D40U. they are different models, i knew that already. same thing for the D90U..they're not replacing anything.

im just wondering if with these new models coming out in June and around September is it logical to conclude that the D40U models will drop in price by this holiday.?

If you mean Christmas then yes everthing are usuaully at their lowest prices of the year. Also because, in January the new models (2007) will be annouced at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
