Spent all day driving store to store trying...

to figure this out. Interested in equivalent of a Tosh 30Hf85 tube set for cost/benefit value but would like it with a tuner, not just a monitor. It will fit in my hutch. This led me to the Sony KDS 32s2000 LCD which fits and has a tuner but the set costs 3x as much. Am amazed. Stores hardly carry the tuners, BB had only one in open box. Except for one brand I'm seeing online, they use DVI connections but the Tosh 30HF85 has the new HDMI connection. Conversion cable costs $80. Even if it's half that it's too much! I am angry at the industry for making this so difficult, the retailers for offering products without the right tuners. I know about the FCC; but it's frustrating, all I can say. I was all but resigned to having another silver box in my component rack that looks like a DVD player and am beginning to think, enough is enough.

Looked at some other models...so many of the manufacturers stick buttons and controls right on the side of the set that you'd have enccased in a cabinet. Not everyone has the model home you see depicted in the ads with all new furniture. The controls should go on the top or the bottom or preferably the front.

Take a look at the Tosh 32HL95 LCD. I'm not sure about the 32 but my 37 has HDMI.... Great set and cheaper than the Sony.
