You have given me a great idea with all of this! I'm going to give Directv a call tonight and tell them that I shouldn't be paying the 10.99 a month HD programing fee since I don't have HD! At best I'm sure I can convince them to give me 1/2 off since I'm only around 1/2 definition for HD programing..... Wow I bet that will work!

I'm sorry but your analogy is way off mark. It was a nice try but completly different. You had the choice on whether to purchase an "edtv". You only pay for HD channels if you want them added.

As I've stated before...1280 x 730 is HD. 1024 x 768 is not HD. And
No amount of complaining, attempting to justify, or sour grapes comments will change that.

Also, that 852 x 480 panel is Panasonic's lower tier, budget model.

The ATSC (the body whch sets the standards for HDTV) recognizes only two standards for HDTV...1280 x 720 and 1920 x 1080 www.atsc.org
The ATSC standards for HDTV are recognized by the FCC.

The panny ED in many cases will beat out several true HD sets (to include yours). Even experts, which you are clearly not, will agree with that statement. Again, I'll repeat my advice. With those specs, keep a low profile, and refrain from dishing out insults to those that have decent systems.

If I had to choose between what you have and a high end ED plasma, it would be a no brainer. Nice thing about that Westinghouse of yours, is it would fit nicely into my garbage can. No need to have to drive out to the dump like with a normal sized TV. Jeez......
