from the description the D90 models they may look like the outgoing D7U and D6U models with bottom speaker. I like the Piano Black finish on the outgoing D4U models but prefer bottom speakers which the new D40 line will have.

Looks like the sony XBR I was looking at might have a problem...If I can get the 37 inch sharp with 1080 reslotion and 176 viewing angle....that is better than the XBR we have out in USA now...must compare to the New stuff released by SONY at CES...

Thumbs down $ 15 G's FOR WHAT ?

I have the Aquos 20 in . flat panel for my daughters room ,great T.V.
For main viewing I own the Hitachi 50vs810 L.C.D. and a Samsung 6168 D.L.P. . Both of these sets along with a good number of other fine H.D.sets can easily hold there own picture quality wise against the new Sharp Aquos line.So other than hanging them on the wall how due they justify the pricing 15 K for 57in. model. In this game picture quality is most important now that most of the major flaws have been rectified. LCD,DLP,LCOS,and to some extent even Plasma have resolved many of there tech problems. At this point in time the consumer can buy with more confidence than ever, but to pay 15k for the same picture quality than can be had for a larger screen for between 3 and 4k is ludicrous !

Are there any differences between the LC-45GD7U and the LC-45D90U?

I bought the LC-45GD7U last week and will return it if it doesn't support 1080p through its' standard configuration.

Default Here are a couple models we missed...

Coming in 20-, 26-, 32- and 37-inch screen sizes, the SH20U series further strengthens Sharp’s offering of large-screen LCD models, helping more consumers create a home theater experience. The SH20U series features a true 16:9 resolution of 1366 x 768, built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners** and HDMI and HD component terminals for the remarkable experience of HDTV programming combined with simple and versatile connectivity options. The SH20U series features a high contrast ratio of 800:1 for rich black tones and crisp on-screen images, and a pixel response time of less than 12 ms for excellent picture quality even on fast-moving action scenes. These models feature wide viewing angles (170 degrees) so they can be viewed clearly from almost any seat in a room, and high brightness levels for clear, vibrant pictures and true-to-life color clarity in any lighting conditions.

Pricing & Availability:

The LC-37SH20U will be available in April for a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $2,699.99.
The LC-32SH20U will be available in April for an MSRP of $1,799.99.
The LC-26SH20U will be available in May for an MSRP of $1,099.99.
The LC-20SH20U will be available in May for an MSRP of $799.99.
