hey guys, I recently bought a toshiba 40l2200u 40inch back lit led tv for 400 dollars. So far the picture is fantastic, the blacks are really good and the colors are vibrant. However there is some noticeable motion blur during some dark scenes or during some animation (ie south park) also there is a tiny bit of backlight bleed in the right corner.
So because of these minor issues im considering returning the toshiba and maybe spending a little more. I work in costco so thats where im going to be purchasing the tv. Right now ive narrowed it down to 2 models, the sony KDL42ex440 and the Samsung UN40EH5050F. Both are 529.99 right now. My question is if its worth it for me to return the toshiba because of these minor issues and if either of these 2 TVs are worth the extra 130 dollars. Also which tv is the better buy? Btw sound isnt an issue i have a sound system. thanks guys |

I'd go with the SONY because an extra 2 inches always impresses me.
![]() But since you work at Costco, you can spend your lunch hour in a side-by-side comparison, and that is the best way to differentiate. While you're at it why not consider a nice 46 incher...you won't regret it. Last edited by zip2play; 12-26-2012 at 07:01 AM. |

You're going to have motion blur ( along with limited viewing angles and lag time ) with ANY LCD/LED set. Of course, if you purchase a plasma, you'll have none of these problems. .
