Default please help! panasonic g20 plasma has a green line

hey everyone im new to the forum and to the hi def world, i bought a panasonic P50G20 plasma 14 months ago and yesterday i noticed a horizontal broken "dotted" green and blue line going all the way accross the screen, i have disconnected all inputs and the t.v still has it. i can rule out all outside sources. it has to be internally in the t.v. i spent hours researching this problem and found only a couple posts about a possible board replacement?? which board is it ?? can anyone help me diagnose this problem so i can get back to watching t.v!! thank you all .

Did you try leaving the TV unplugged overnight?

Default Description of the line

Could you be more desriptive of this line? Is it a line or a bar(how thick). Does it alternate colors?(Green/blue/green/blue) Are the colors at even intervals?

Yes! It is a thin horizonal line about 1/8" thick that is 7in from the bottom of the screen. The color is green, blue, gren blue,. If you look close you can see the line is made up of tiny dash marks.the line is perfectly straight and the colors are 3in bars in a green, blue sequence all the way across the screen

As long as its taller than a single pixel height. Then I would recommend the Main or A-Board. Its a corrupted IC on the main board that typically causes this issue.

Not a problem at all. I can come across as a dick, but my matter of fact attitude is actually just there to help people.

I own the 54" G20 and now have the same green line you describe, and like you, am out of my warranty period. How difficult was it to change the Main (A) board? For what it's worth, I think it is horrible how Panasonic plays dumb about this problem. They know they have a problem with their plasmas and they look the other way. Horrible customer service if you ask me
