high def forum talked me into it!!!

about a week ago i posted my frist thread on high def forum wanting advice that would help me purchase my tv. i was looking at a philips and high def forum talked me into a panny (42px50u). if it wasnt for this forum and avs forum i wouldnt even have known about the recent price drops of the pannys. so id like to say thanx to all who commented and im very pleased thus far with my purchase. now, ive had my plasma for 4 days now and im kinda nervous. im a little insecure about my picture settings as far as trying to break the tv in. is there any advice on what these settings should be set at and for how long? right now i have everything set at 0 exept for my brightness and piture catagories which are set at +8. is this too much/not enough? i was also wondering about the set up dvds you can buy? are they extremely advanced aand should i purchase one? any advice on tv setup would be appreciated

Use a setup DVD like DVE or Avia...

here is the setting i am using for almost 200 hours now, use the standard setting and change the sharpness to 10 and picture to 16 keep every thing else to zero, avoid black bars on side and top (movies) try using the aspect to just or zoom to fill screen panny just picture ration is very good.
see panny article on breakin for plasmas, after first few hundred hours of precaution you will be fine. do not keep still image on screen for extended period of time. new plasmas are pretty good on burn in issues.
