I wasn't there in person. I was there via webcast. Was looking for you in chat but did not see you.

That is about when the video died on me, with the chat coming and going for 30 mins before that.

If you go to the Value Electronics site, you can see that the VT25 won.
So the shocking result is that the best display currently being manufactured ends up being the best display currently being manufactured.

Yes it won, but the Samsung was very close.

Not surprised that the VT25 won but it's how well the Samsung stacks up to it that I want to see. I'm very eager to read the .pdf results when posted

Hi, I am new to your forum-wondering if I might ask some questions about what I saw on the shootout.
Did anybody notice that the VT25 was "flickering" the entire time (I watched both Sat and Sun events). I am assuming that might have something to do with us seeing it on a computer screen, but why only the VT25. Also, did anyone notice during the Sin City movie (on Sun) that during some fast motion scenes on the C8000, there would be a green halo. For instance in one scene Bruce Willis is moving his arm rapidly and the outer border showed green-I didn't see it on the VT25. Just wondering if these things were evident to attendants, or it is because of the video-feed to our computers. At least, now I have narrowed my choices between 4 sets these 2 plasmas or the Sony810 (but going to check out the new XVT Vizio backlit). Thanks |
