Default TV pic too big for screen

I have a Sanyo DP42848 directly connected to a satilite box and the picture is too big for the screen. It is like it is zoomed in. But I can not find a zoom button or feature on either the control for the tv or the satilite box. Can anyone help me?

yeah I tried that and it gave me 4 diff types of settings but they all cut off the bottom of the screen. It is like it is zoomed in. And needs to be zoomed out. Is there anyway to do this with this tv?

So the problem must be in the satellite box.

I have tried fiddling with the satilite box and it makes no difference what so ever. This is truly frustrating!

Now let me also say this....the signal was fine while it was plugged into a regular tv. But we just switched it over to our Sanyo LCD 42".

Are you in Europe? If you provide the full model of the box someone should be able to find the manual to look for the setting that stops the cable box from zooming the signal being set out from it.

Maybe the sat box doesn't change things on the SD outputs but does on the HD outputs. Who do you have the devices connected?

Yes I am in Europe. In fact in germany. I am a american living over here. We have the devices directly connected from the sat box to the tv through the scart cable. Just found out it is a analog scart cable. I ordered a new digital scart cable today. I just checked and the model number of the satillite box is DS430N. It is made by Pace and it is called a Digibox.

I am not familiar with the Euro displays/connections nor the sat service there, but it sounds like getting the digital connection should solve the problem.

I downloaded the manual but it only mentions the options for Picture Settings.

Did you check the "Sky Picture Format ???

Is that box a HD box? If not, then that is your problem.
