Default Unknown Timing

I was wondering if I could get some help. I have a 40inch Toshiba LCD. I also have a Motorola DCT6416 iii. When I turn on the TV and the Box the TV displays the unknown timing. If I switch the input then switch it back it will work, or if I unplug the HDMI cable it will work. Anyone have any help. Thanks JV

Have you tried using another HDMI cable? Maybe there's a short somewhere in your existing cable...

Hi and welcome to HDF

Try turning on the 6416 first - wait a few seconds - then the Toshiba.

Actually I think the reverse order is more likely to help. The display should be on first and set to the correct HDMI input BEFORE turning on the source material device. Sometimes it works better the other way, but most times the display must be on first.
