Have a CCTV camera connected to my office TV with a BNC video cable. During a storm recently, the camera's power supply went out. I got another power supply. Then found out the camera is also fried. I got a new camera. It didn't work with original BNC video cable I actually have buried going to the office TV so I connected it to a different TV with another 'shorter' cable and it works fine. The original camera didn't work though. Anyway, I have figured out that the video in port on the TV is blown.

Is there a way to convert the BNC video cable to 'component'?

any ideas?
I also have a Mitsubishi WD-65731 HDTV that has 2 HDMI ports one of which is connected to a HD DIRECTV DVR. There is also a PC-DVI port on the Mitsubishi. For the audio, the Mitsubishi is connected to a Bose LifeStyle Surround Sound Stereo system.

I want to connect the laptop to the Mitsubishi HDTV
The purpose of connecting the PC to the TV is to run a PowerPoint slide show on the TV.

Do I need to connect anything other then the HDMI port from the laptop to the HDMI port on the TV?

Or is there another way to play the PowerPoint slide show on the Mitsubishi TV?
