Summary: This guide is going to tell you how to rip DVD movies to Nook HD with mp4 video format step by step, and play DVD on Nook HD tablet anytime anywhere.

Barnes & Noble Nook HD Tablet features a brilliant HD display which brings your entertainment to life in stunning clarity on a vibrant 1440-by-900 spectacular high-resolution display. With over one million pixels in your hand, text is sharper, gameplay is smooth and dynamic and much more – HD movies are more vivid. If you have some DVD movie collections and want to watch DVD movies on Nook HD Tablet, you’ll need to convert DVD to Nook HD Tablet supported H.264 or MPEG4 first. Here I would throw a quick tutorial up.

To get the work done smoothly, a DVD ripping tool is needed. Most of you are likely familiar with the excellent Handbrake for ripping standard Def DVDs, but keep in mind that that program can’t rip copy-protected DVDs without a third-party add-on, and it doesn’t have Nook-specific profiles. Here I highly recommend Brorsoft DVD Ripper or the Mac DVD Ripper for Mac users.

Basically, the software can help you encode DVD also DVD ISO/IFO to Nook HD tablet highly supported MP4 video files with high output video quality and fast ripping speed. Besides, you are allowed to edit the DVD movies by trimming, cropping, adjusting video effects, etc. to get the very wanted part and effects as you like. Moreover, this DVD converter can also help you convert DVD to all other popular video formats like AVI, MOV, MKV, WMV, FLV, MPG, etc. for playing and sharing on iPhone, iPad, Galaxy S4, Blackberry, Apple TV, Nexus 7, YouTube etc. bypassing the DVD copy protection. Just download it and follow the steps below to download and put DVD movies onto Nook HD Tablet for smooth playing.

The Easy Way to Convert DVD movies to Nook HD compatible video formats

1. Import DVD movie source

Download and install the DVD Ripper for Nook HD Tablet. Once the program is installed, start it up and pop in your disc to load your DVD movies. You can also add ISO file, IFO file or DVD folder.

2. Output video settings

Now choose the output format for playback on your Nook HD Tablet. You can get optimized videos for Nook HD under Format > Android > Nook Tablet(*.mp4). The output videos could fit on your device perfectly. You can click on "Settings" to set Video Size(pix) as 720*480, Video Bitrate(kbps) as 1500 to get a HD and relatively small output video.

3. Start to convert DVD to Nook HD mp4 video

Before the conversion, you can click on the dropdown list of “Subtitles” to select your needed subtitles so that you can view DVD films on Nook HD Tablet with preferred subtitles. Then, hit “Convert” and let the software do the DVD to Nook HD MP4 conversion.

After the ripping, you can click “Open” to locate the converted MP4 video files. Connect your NOOK to a computer, and transfer the DVD rips to the NOOK HD Video folder for playing in full screen playback at ease.

P.S. To play all the HD videos, Blu-ray/DVD movies on Nook HD Tablet as well as Kindle Fire HD, Apple iPad, Galaxy Tab, Nexus 7, etc freely, you can try the professional all-in-one program Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate to make the conversion task. If you a Mac user, iMedia Converter Mac is the alternative choice.

I love my HCX-900M but the image stabilization has a little quirk. Overall the IS works great, but I noticed a slow rocking motion (up/down) when trying to hold the camera still. For example, the horizon on the beach will slowly move up and down from left to right like a see-saw. Is there anything I can do to prevent this short of turning off the IS? Thanks for any advice/ideas!

Summary: With this awesome guide, you can smoothly import and edit Sony PMW-500 MXF files in Final Cut Pro 6/7/X by transcoding/converting PMW-500 MXF to ProRes MOV format.

We usually saw Sony PMW-500 Camcorder users encounter importing issues when attempting to edit their PMW-500 MXF files with Final Cut Pro 6/7 even FCP X. Let's see some frequently asked questions on this.

Q3: MXF files into FCP 6
I'm interested in the new Sony PMW-500, but I'm still working on an Apple G5 with FCP 6.0.6. Is there an application, plug-in, etc. for the older FCP to take in MXF files? [G5, Mac OS X (10.4.11)]

The Sony PMW-350 is the first Shoulder-mount XDCAM EX solid state camcorder, providing ergonomics similar to the classic DSR-450 DVCAM camcorder. It features an industry standard 2/3″ sensor design and features excellent legacy format compatibility thanks to an in-built DVCAM format codec. It is also be called PMW-350K, or PMW-350L according to the different area. It’s worth noting that the camcorder records MPEG-2 videos but outputs MP4 files if you don’t backup the files by using a specific way.

As we all know, the MPEG-2 is Adobe’s native format and many users may want to transfer PMW-350 camera recorded full HD videos to Adobe Premiere Pro CS4/CS5 for further editing. But many users can’t successfully get the files to Adobe. Why? The reason is that the output file is MP4. The old Adobe PPro CS3/CS4 can’t support the format. For example the below user.

I have the new Sony PMW-350 XDCAM EX camera – just tried importing a load of footage shot last week – importing the raw MP4 files from the media browser just like EX3 footage that I edit all the time in the same way. Unfortunately, the video imports but no audio. The clip shows a single mono channel but no audio data in it (i.e. no sound at all).I guess this footage in it’s native form is just incompatible with PPro – anyone else tried this?

To solve the tough question, we’ve found out a workaround, although it may take a little while to convert. You will need a decent Sony XDCAM EX MP4 to Premiere Pro Converter to re-format files to MPEG-2, the most compatible format for Adobe Premiere Pro. It is ideal for you to experience a high quality and high efficiency post-production workflow of XDCAM EX MP4 clips into Premiere Pro.

Step 1: Download, install and launch the best Video Converter to load your raw MP4 videos to it.

Step 2: Move your mouse pointer to Format icon and tap it; select Adobe Premiere Pro/Sony Vegas >> MPEG-2(*.mpg) as the target format.

Step 3: For editing MPEG-2 in Adobe Premiere smoothly, we recommend you set 1920*1080 as video size and 30fps (or 29.97fps for original 59.94fps files) as Frame Rate on the Profile Settings panel.

Step 4: Start converting Sony PMW-350 raw EX MP4 to MPEG-2 for Premiere Pro CS4/CS5.

When the conversion process shows in 100%, you can tap the Open button on the main interface to locate the output MPEG-2 video. Now, just transfer and edit Sony PMW-350 XDCAM EX footage in Adobe PPro CS4/CS5 as you want.

I was wondering if anyone knew any troubleshooting with this camera. The sound is showing a frequency or that it's coming through on the LCD screen but I can not hear any sound when I have my headphones in the audio jack as I'm trying to record. I have tried a few different mics and headphones but can't get it to work. This has never happened before. Do you think the audio jack is bad?
Thank you. I have a shoot tomorrow at 3pm so any input would be greatly appreciated.
