*Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Redneck?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.

The answer can be found by posing the following question:

Are you a Democrat, a Republican, or a Redneck?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.

The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife
and two small children.

Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with
a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you,
screams obscenities, praises
Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you.

You are carrying a Colt Model
1911 45 cal. automatic pistol , and you are an expert shot.

You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.

What do you do?

.................................................. ..................

THINK
CAREFULLY AND
THEN SCROLL DOWN:

Democrat's Answer :

Well,
that's not enough information to answer the question!
Does the man look poor or oppressed?
Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?
Could we run away?
What does my wife think?
What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the
gun like a club
and knock the knife out of
his hand?
What does the law say about
this situation?
Does the pistol have
appropriate safety built into it?
Why am I
carrying a loaded gun anyway, and what kind of message does this send to society and to my children?
Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?
Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be
content just to wound me?
If I were to grab
his knees and hold
on, could my family get
away while he was stabbing me?
Should I call
9-1-1?
Why is this street so deserted?

We need to raise taxes, have paint and weeded and
make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior. This is
all so confusing!

I need to debate this with some friends for a
few days and try to come to a consensus.

.................................................. ...........................

Republican's Answer:

BANG!

.................................................. .......................

Redneck's Answer:

BANG!
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

BANG !
Click..... (Sounds of reloading)

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

BANG! BANG!
BANG! Click

Daughter:
'Nice grouping, Daddy!

Were those the Winchester
Silver Tips or Hollow Points?! '

Son:
'Can I shoot the next one?!'

Wife:
'You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist'

A letter from a boss .. somewhere in the USA :
Dear employee:

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact
that Barack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government
fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases,
our prices would have to increase by about 10%. But since we
cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the
economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead.
This has really been bothering me, since I believe we are family
here and I didn't know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found
sixty 'Obama' bumper stickers on our employees' cars and have
decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can't think of a
more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change, they
should get it.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.
THE BOSS

The problem is that every night starting around 8pm the internet speed slows down from the 3.00 MB/sec I’m paying for to something below 1.00. Last night at 9.30pm Speedtest showed it at .26! I’ve had Verizon technicians out to my house twice now but they cannot solve the problem. They agree that their circuits are overloaded but they’re not sure they have equipment capacity to resolve the issue.

Before I just drop Verizon and go to another ISP does anyone have an idea on how to get my internet back up to speed?

So I call the tech line (on hold for 15 minutes) and I was told that I would be billed 30 dollars to swap it out unless it was not working when the tech arrived. This is BS! Why are we paying a rental fee then? At this point I'm gonna switch to U-Verse when it's available here. I just can't deal with the nickel and diming from Comcast anymore.

Subscription to Psn? What say you

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6240938...dlines;title;1

One the biggest selling points of the PlayStation 3 is that gamers can use the console to play online at no additional charge. However, evidence has surfaced that the company is planning a two-tiered subscription model for the PlayStation Network similar to--but also fundamentally different from--Xbox Live.

Sony is mulling a premium version of PSN.
Slides accompanying a Thursday presentation by Sony show that the company is planning a "new revenue stream from subscription" on PSN in 2010. [UPDATE] During the presentation, which emphasized Sony's plans to make its game business profitable in the next fiscal year, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai confirmed the plans. "We will be building upon our current free [PSN] service offering with premium content and services to start the subscription model," he told attendees.

Perhaps to assuage PS3 owners' fears that they would soon have to pay to play online, Hirai issued a subsequent statement indicating the present level of service would remain gratis.

"SCE will further increase sales by offering users new entertainment through the combination of hardware, software, peripheral, and PlayStation Network," Hirai said in a statement given to British outlets such as CVG. "Especially in the online area, we are studying the possibility of introducing a subscription model, offering premium content and services, in addition to the current free services." (Emphasis added.)

As of press time, US Sony reps had not offered Hirai's statement or further clarification about its subscription plans for the PlayStation Network. Luckily, though, the "current free services" currently offered on PSN include online play, Facebook integration, and Netflix video streaming. On Xbox Live, both of those features are only accessible at the Gold membership level, which costs at least $50 per year.

[UPDATE] Even without subscriptions, PSN revenue is on the rise. For the current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2010, Sony expects ¥50 billion ($563 million) in earnings from the service, a threefold increase from the year prior. In addition to game-related content, the PSN's retail component--the PlayStation Store--offers video offerings such as television shows and movies for both rental and sale.

Hello all of you and thank-you for reading my post. To begin, I purchased a Vizio 47 LCD TV (model #SV1XVT)

I subscribe to HD cable from Cox. I will be buying a Blu-ray player and a PS3 soon. With that said, can someone direct me on a system that is not too pricey? I recently went to a Best Buy store and noticed the "theater in a Box" that go from $350-$699 Us Dollars. I believe the drawback is that these systems only have 1 HDMI input. It is my understanding that I will need 3 HDMI for what I have and will be getting soon, right?

Being a newbie, can someone lets say tell me what I can bet to build a system that is under $600? Should I be buying online? Should I wait for Black Friday?

I am open to any suggestion you can offer. I will keep this group informed as to which way I go with this. Thanks so much.

I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and found a work around?

I've had this problem come up now three times. One with a digital converter box and two times with digital TVs. Just got a new TV today that has the problem.

The problem is when a tuner only locks in channels by scan. Does not allow a second scan without erasing memory of the former scan. And, does not allow adding additional channels manually.

So, if you have one antenna on a rotator, you are screwed. You can point in direction A, lock in those channels. Then cannot go to direction B and rescan - unless you don't mind losing all those A channels.

If you have mutiple antennas with a coax switch box, you are also screwed.

If you are like me, and have three separate antenna systems with a three-way A/B/C coax switchbox and two rotators - then you are really screwed.

I'm trying to contact tech support and find out if they might consider writing some new firmware that maybe could correct this problem?
I expect this nonsense with some early digital equipment, but not now. Seems some makers totally disregard the fact that some people are using antennas with rotators and are not hooked to Satellite or cable TV.
I know that Consumer Reports just published a test on TVs and did not mention the tuners, at all.

I was considering putting all three coax cables into a three into one triplexer temporarily - just for lock-in purposes. But even if it works, it won't address the rotator issue of needing go get different channels from different compass points.

My Pan 35 sends bitstream to my Onk 805 to decode. This was the first time that I can recall seeing the "DTS HD Hi Res" show on the Onk's display.
Anyone familiar with this codex?

If you enjoy the series, I highly recommend this episode BTW. David Tennant as the Doc. Michelle Ryan as his side-kick--Very easy on the eyes. One hour long. Great PQ/ good SQ. We use Netflix.
