Introduction:
HD Plugin of Moyea Web Player enables you to add a HD button on the dock of the web FLV player (which customized with Moyea Web Player), so that player users can easily start or close HD video playing by click it at any time.

Key Features:
Easily switch to start or close HD video playing.
The HD button on the dock can be set to hide automatically when video is being played.
The customized HD FLV player also supports playing HD streaming video.

Notice: If the HD video is a streaming video, the RTMP plugin also need to be included in player

Limitation of free trial version:
A watermark with hyperlink appears at the right of the custom HD FLV player

About Moyea Web Player:
Moyea Web Player on playerdiy.com is a Flash video player creator. With it, you can easily make customized Flash video player with playlist and full screen features for website.

Where this plugin appears:
After installed, this HD button Plugin will appear on the following interface of Moyea Web Player.

How to implement above demo?

The following tutorials will show you how to implement above demo in different situations.

Tutorial for situation 1 (don’t have FLV player yet):

In this situation, you can easily add the HD button to your custom FLV player when customizing it with Moyea Web Player, you only need to click the plugin, make some settings and click “Submit” button on the following interface.

Note: When customizing HD FLV Player, only normal video need to be added into Moyea Web Player, the HD video you only need to put in somewhere of your web server and put its path onto the following “HD Button Settings” interface.

Term interpretations (How to name the HD video?):

1. {dir} indicates the HD video and normal video are in the same directory, if not, the directory should be written out, e.g.: http://yourdonaim.com/hd-video/{name}{ext}{arg}

2. {name} indicates this part of HD video name is the same as the normal video name, if not, the HD video name should be written out, e.g.: {dir}hdvideoname{ext}{arg} indicates HD video name is "hdvideoname{ext}".

3. {ext} indicates the extension of HD video is the same as the normal video, if not, the extension should be written out, e.g.: if the extension is MP4, then the path will be {dir}{name}.mp4{arg}

4. {arg} indicates the argument of HD video is the same as the normal video, if not, then the path will includes the argument of HD video, e.g.: {dir}{name}{ext}?v=3

5. {dir}{name}-hd{ext}{arg} indicates the forepart of HD video name is the same as the normal video name, the extension and the argument of HD video are the same as the normal video, and they are in the same directory

Tutorial for situation 2 (already have a FLV player which customized with Moyea Web Player)

In this situation, to make the HD button work in the existed FLV player, you need to put a folder named “plus” (contains a plugin file hdbutton.swf) and a file addonslist.xml in the same folder with the player files.

The “plus” folder with an hdbutton.swf file and the addonslist.xml file can be easily generated with Moyea Web Player.

However, if you don't want to generate the “plus” folder and the addonslist.xml file with Moyea Web Player, then you could build them by yourself.

In default, the code of the addonslist.xml file as below:

Code:

<?xml version="1.0"?><addonslist><addonsitem href="plus/hdbutton.swf?f=%7Bdir%7D%7Bname%7D-hd%7Bext%7D%7Barg%7D&x=10&y=40&o=bottom-right&hd=5&s=0"/></addonslist>

The hdbutton.swf file is the plugin, if Moyea web Player was installed in your C: disc and the plugin is free trial version, you could get it from C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Moyea\WebPlayer\addons\free.

However, if the plugin is registered version, then you could get the file from C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Moyea\WebPlayer\addons\yourdomain

If I upgrade to a newer Onkyo with HDMI inputs, how much better performance (audio wise) should I expect, marginal? substantial or big? It would cost me about $450 for the upgrade and am not sure if I will be getting much.

The problem is that both game consoles take forever for the reciver to recognise. And im talking about 10-15 minuites!!! The cable box switches in and onto my tv instantly while these other take forever. Now, i have switched the wires to make sure there was not an hdmi wire problem... same thing.

I have also pluged the cable into multiple other hdmi inputs and it worked fine. I then tried getting the cable to come up on the channels i use for the games and it was fine.

But, no matter what i do it seems like for 10- 15 minutes nothing will get through the reciever. I get constant no audio and the tv says No signal.

Anyone ever have this problem??? Whats going on here??

ps, I have unplugged the unit and done a factory reset, both which did not solve the problem .

Just started doing research on HDMI receivers and quickly discovered there's a lot more info out there than I realized. I currently have 2 High-Def output sources....PS3 and DirecTV HD-DVR. For video, HDMI cables running to an HDMI switch and then one HDMI to TV. For audio, optical audio to same switch and one optical audio to my current receiver. I'd like to have one HDMI cable running to receiver and than one from receiver to TV.

My research has led me to believe the Onkyo HT-RC160 is a good mid-level receiver. Most places have it running $330 - $350 which is really a little out of my price range. I now turn to the helpful members of this forum in narrowing down what I need versus what I want for the best price (Ideally around $250).

Here's what I don't need....anything over 5.1 support, multiple HDMI inputs, satellite radio receiver, ipod compatibility.

I would like the HD audio decoders, no HDMI pass-through, decent upscaling (for the wii...not required but would be nice).

That's the intro. Let me know what other information would be helpful and I'm looking forward to hearing your recommendations!

I don't know much about this product but I just purchased it. Amazon reviews are certainly mixed and the TiVo Community doesn't think highly of it. Hardware included is a Haupauge USB tuner including ATSC and TiVo remote control. Basically this should be able to make a PC a two-tuner TiVo and allow sharing with other household TiVos. This includes the first year of TiVo service but I believe it would be $99 a year after that.

http://www.nero.com/enu/promo-nero-l...37&utm_id=8764

Use coupon code AW-GB50-88KP for 50% off. This product used to be $200 so it is apparently being cleared out and will soon be history which doesn't bode well for the best customer support from Nero but I have had a TiVo since October 2000 and I am confident TiVo customer service will do their part, whatever that might be.

We've got a fairly new system, with a Pioneer SC-05 receiver. We had the local store that sold it to us (Magnolia) hook it up for us. Everything was working when the technician left, but at some point over the last several months things changed so that now all the sound is coming from the front center channel. This is for all audio: movies, other audio sources, etc. I've tried cycling through all the settings in "standard surround" and "advanced surround", to no avail. (There are 5 speakers in the ceiling, and a separate subwoofer.)

I can't seem to find anyplace on the receiver to manually change things like front rear (or even right/left) balance, so I don't have any way to confirm that things still fundamentally work. I've confirmed that everything is still plugged in in the back, and of course no one's touched the wires running through the ceiling.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

thanks!!

Thanks to those helping me make a decision on speakers. I'm starting almost from scratch in a 13' w x 15' d room with a 10' window right behind the seating, so I'm going with a 52" matte screen, probably Sony or LG. Front, rear and center speakers are taken care of for the time being, but I need a new receiver and a subwoofer.

Want to spend about $200 for the sub and I'm open to suggestions. The Speaker Company has 20% off on what appears to be a decent 10".

The receiver is the big question, as technology is moving quickly yet there are some great deals on refurbished stuff from a year or two ago. with no more than 12" behind the back seating I don't need 7.1 but that's what most receivers are nowadays. If that's the way I go, I'll just wire it for 5.1.

I can buy a Marantz Sr6001 refurbished for $365 delivered and it originally sold for around $1K! The Harman Kardon AVR 345 is also a refurb with a warranty in the same price range, as is the current model Onkyo HT-RC160.

Too much research is giving me brain freeze so please help me out choosing current technology with a lower discount and power or something a year or two old?

Also, do I really need Blu-Ray right now? My 2 year-old DVD works just fine.

Nice to see a feature table to compare various media players on the market... the formats and issues. Looks like Popcorn hour comes out on top.. but it's a bit pricey.

Hi folks, I'm hoping to get some insight on a frustration...

I have a HD cable dvr box: Scientific Atlanta 8240 hdc. I use an HDMI cable directly to the plasma monitor for full-Hd digital picture. I also have a digital audio out cable directly to my older (yet very good) Yamaha receiver.

In the audio settings menu for the dvr, there are three options under Digital Audio Out: Dolby, HDMI and Other. I choose other and get an uncompressed 2-channel digital signal to my receiver, which then lights up the "PCM" icon. This is what I want, since it produces the best sound for my Pro-Logic II surround system.

Problem---every single time either the monitor and/or dvr are turned off, and then back on, the dvr's digital audio out settings are reset to "HDMI". I have to go back into the menus and change it back manually to "Other" to get my PCM signal back.

Please tell me there is a way to Lock those settings....it is ridiculous I would have to manually change it back every time I wanna watch TV! :banghead:
I emailed the cable company (Time Warner) and they don't even seem to understand the question, let alone how to fix it.

Thanks for any help at all that you folks can give me!

I have a VIP722 provided by my cable company, who uses Dish as their source. The HDMI connection does not work. Absolutely nothing comes across. There have been multiple service visits. Several VIP722 units have been tried. All of the HDMI ports on the Panasonic P42G10 plasma have been tried. I downloaded and installed the latest firmware for the P42G10. Multiple HDMI cables have been tried. The HDMI connection worked OK on the Dish HDTV receiver, which was replaced last week by the VIP722. Fortunately the component A/V connection operates properly.

My question - is there a known HDMI handshaking issue with the VIP722 and P42G10? I have learned that the VIP722 does have issues with certain TV sets, but I cannot find any information on the P42G10. Any information will be most appreciated.

The front panel display on my Onkyo 805 just stopped showing anything. The sound mode is not set for pure audio. Is there any other setting I may have hit that would black out the display or is the unit in need of repair.
Thanks

Help? I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300HD DVR. I have several small news clips I want to download, ideally to a laptop. The above has a USB port, as well as a SATA port. Can I just hook a laptop up via the usb and drag and drop?
Any feedback appreciated.
Thanks
