just had a problem begin with my mitsu wd-62827 dlp. after about an hour of viewing, a humming noise begins to occur. it will begin softly at first, then gradually get louder. during this time, the picture and sound remain fine. when i shut the tv off, the sound continues for abount a minute and then winds down. it reminds me of a damaged cd spinning incorrectly in a cd player. with this in mind, i have a feeling that this is the color wheel. anyone have this problem or any suggestions?:what:

I have to admit, I didn't have high hopes for these two machines. The first "budget" products in any category always seem to fall short, but in this case I was pleasantly surprised. Both the Vivitek H1080FD and the Optoma HD20, which use DLP technology, offered exceptional performance for the price, but one definitely stood out.

The bulb in my high definition projector is about to burn out. I get a message when I turn on the projector telling me this. I have not replaced the bulb yet, and now yesterday the high definition channels became dark. The regular channels are fine, but any high efinition channels appear dark and hard to see. This is not something that can be fixed by adjusting the brightness. Does anyone know if this is related to the bulb burning out? Has anyone experienced this before?
