I have a VIP 622 and have a couple dozen timers set to record only new episodes of programs that are shown weekly (of course, the DVR will skip the repeats of these new episodes shown on subsequent days of the week). However, whenever I create a timer to record only new episodes of programs that are shown every weekday and are "replayed" a couple of times after the first showing on a given day, the DVR will record all of these shows (the original and the repeats). Examples include programs such as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report (Comedy Central), Cavuto and The Dave Ramsey Show (Fox Business Channel), and The O'Reilly Factor (Fox News Channel).
Aside from deleting the extra recordings of the repeats every day, or deleting the "all new episode" timers and setting timers to record these shows just once a day every day, is there any way to get the DVR to record only the very first new episode of programs shown two or three times daily? Thank you in advance for any possible ideas. |

I don't think I've ever had that problem... It seems to me that whenever I had a timer set to record only new episodes, if it had recorded an episode sucessfully already, it would skip it when it was on again~
