I know this is like beating a dead horse but for anyone that watches sports, Dish Network in Arizona is not the ticket for HD content.
Only 1 out of 3 HD games are broadcast on FSNAZ that has the DBack contract. Direct and Cox cable get all the games in HD that FSN broadcasts in HD. (141 games total). Also Phoenix Suns games channel 45 (KUTP) carries all HD broadcast and Direct carries the HD feed along with Cox Cable. Dish does not carry KUTP in HD at all. I'll be opting out of contract very soon. I've been with Dish 10 years and hate to do it but my primary reason for purchasing my 52" LCD was watching DBacks in HD. I had no idea Dish was only going to broadcast 1 out of 3 games in HD. Update: I just checked the next 5 games and only 1 is HD. So its more like 1 out 5 games in HD. This is happening to most if not all rsn HD channels available on Dish. It does seem like there was more HD games last year than this year. Welcome to the club.

Called dish and direct. Dish option is 12.50x17 months=213 dollars to get out of contract.
Direct has a 250 buy your own equipment 2 receivers 1 is HD DVR 1 standard 1 non DVR. Plus 50 dollar setup includes dish and installation 300 dollars total. Or go lease route again that I'll never do again for free. What to do?

Leasing is better IMO, so if it breaks down, they'll replace it and if you want to upgrade they'll exchange it.

Living in LA, where I get TWO Fox regional broadcasts, I can certainly sympathize with you. For example, I am a MAJOR LA Kings fan (NHL). Now, as most people know, the Kings are in a "low point" or whatever you want to call it, and haven't played that well for a while. So therefore, FSW/Prime carried way fewer games than they did when the Kings played better, and hardly ANY were in broadcast in HD. Then, when the NBA season started, suddenly ALL the Lakers games were being shown in HD!! ![]() But as far as I know, if DISH carries the HD version of a channel, and that game is available in HD, then DISH will broadcast it. I just wish that more of the games were AVAILABLE in HD!! I am hoping that NEXT year, there might actually be enough NHL games broadcast in HD to make it worth getting NHL Center ICE!!

Well I don't know what happened but dish changed the schedule and all games have been in HD this week and as far as I can go on the guide.
Possible my persistence paid off. There was a JIP beside the games on the guide but since has disappeared. I'm now happy. I hope they do the same for other markets.

Not here in LA it didn't... At least the HD broadcast didn't...
I kept flipping between the SD and HD feeds~ SD was rolling along, and HD hadn't kicked it yet. I'm sure it was after the 1st inning, maybe even the 2nd, but it took a while.

JIP = Joined in progress
Have not had to much to beef about with the HD schedule, its actually improved lately on FSAZ. I am just a getting tired of watching my D'Backs suck eggs in HD.
