Can anybody explain why Dish is not providing PBS stations in HD? I have written to them twice and twice I've gotten their STANDARD FORM LETTER TYPE RESPONSE which tell me absolutely nothing.

Dish wants to do one national feed and PBS stations want each and every station and all it's subchannels carried.

I would love to have the PBS national feed in HD. That is some great HD programming.

...And as usual, nobody wants to compromise and therefore, the subscriber is the one that suffers. Frankly, I would like to see the national feed. My local PBS station carried ONLY the national feed on their HD channel when it was first launched and it was great.

It's a Finco 400-A colateral antenna with the optional "Fro-Bac" reflector grid.

We had the 400-A (w/o reflector) on both out house and my grandmother's house when I was growing up. Pulled VHF crystal clear 80-90 miles and snowy but watchable from 150 miles. Quite large, about 8 ft wide, 6 ft high and 15 inches deep.

Finally had to abandon use when repeated high wind falls left us with no more usable pieces to put together.

But it was a GREAT antenna.
