How can anyone watch standard def?

I am wondering if Boston Red Sox games are shown on Dish Network, I was thinking of getting the programming package called "America's Top 200". I had heard something about blackouts and didn't want to order this only to find out I wouldn't get it. Right now I am using Comcast and want to make the switch.

If you are in the Boston dma, all you need would be the local rsn NESN. if you are not in their dma, the only way to get NESN would be the Muilti Sports pack, but the Sox would probably be blacked out.

There are three stations that carry red sox baseball here(NESN,ESPN,WFXT), never on all of these, only one at a time. All of these come with what I am ordering, yes they will be from Boston, I am just worried if blackouts occur with these channels.
Thanks for the help! |

ESPN should blackout any game that is also carried on either of the other 2, but they also have National games only available on ESPN (these should not be blacked out). You should be good.

Here's a link to the Major League Baseball blackout map. Much of it doesn't make sense, like why my parents, just 45 miles from Miller Park, can't watch Brewers games.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:M...kout_Areas.png It looks like all of New Hampshire is in Red Sox territory. You shouldn't have to worry about blackouts. Games on ESPN will be blacked out if the Red Sox have their own telecast available. That was the case here on Monday. Hell froze over, pigs began to fly, and ESPN actually showed the Brewers. It was blacked out here because FSN Wisconsin had the game available.
