Default External Hard Drive

I am thinking about purchasing this external hard drive:

Fantom Titanium-II 750GB External Hard Drive - USB 2.0

My question is I have two VIP 622 DVR and was wondering if hard drive will play back recorded content on either unit and does anyone know approx. how much HD programming this unit will store?

P.S. - Does anyone know about Fantom hard drives(good, bad or so,so)?

Im doing the same thing... the Harddrive will work with both your DVRs as long as they are under your account. If you took it to a friends house it wouldnt work.

MPEG-4 you are probably looking at 150 movies.

I bought a BlacX SATA HDD USB Docking Station and swap out multiple smaller (250GB) SATA hard drives.

I can have the safety of not relying on one large HD to store all my goodies on and the convenience of being able to buy cheaper (but not lower quality) internal hard drives.

250GB 7200RPM SATA hard drives are about $50 each.

Is the software from Dish still limiting the size to 750gb model's?

I been holding off buying a hardrive until they remove this size limit, hoping I can use a 1TB model to its full

Or am I miss-informed about this subject of size?
