I would like to use one channel for my dish network receiver than be able to change channels with my tv remote and access local high def channels. I tried using some Dbs Video Diplexers. It makes my screen fuzzy. I'm just a noob.

Sounds like you tried diplexing your OTA signal into the sat signal and got a fuzzy picture? (Fuzzy means analog not digital reception any way).
Which receiver do you have? Some older dish receivers have no internal OTA tuner at all. Mount an antenna above your roofline that matches the frequencies you need to receive (look at www.antennaweb.org and enter your exact address and zipcode). Run a new RG-6 line from the antenna to the receiver for least line loss (a good low noise pre-amp might be called for especially if you are trying to receive violet rated stations). Oh, by the way, there is no such thing as a Hi Def antenna; only VHF, UHF and combo - all work with both analog and digital. Give us your zip code and we can make some semi-intelligent answers.
