VIP622 Recording Locals Question

I currently get my local HD channels using OTA. My wife watchs the basic Comcast network channels on Comcast which come with cable internet. I do not subscribe to the Dish locals. My wife and I are going to be gone from home for about 4 weeks in October. So, there are a lot of new shows premiering while we are gone on the local channels that are on at the same time that we want to record (different viewing tastes).

She could care less about HD. So my question is that if I add the Dish locals package which are not HD in my area can I record one broadcast channel say ABC in SD and also record a show on CBS using the OTA tuner in HD at the same time?

I hope so as this will avoid an argument as to whose programs get recorded. And, I think you know who will win that battle.

If only your sd locals are available via Dish and have an OTA antenna, you can record two of the sd locals at the same time as one of your OTA's.
